As of January 2023, it was found that 21.5 percent of TikTok’s global audience were women between the ages of 18 and 24 years, while male users of the same age made up approximately 17 percent of the platform’s audience. The online audience of the popular social video platform was further composed of 17 percent female users aged between 25 and 34 years, and 15 percent of male users in the same age group. As has already been mentioned, the language used on TikTok is that of short, impactful videos that can be replicated with a song in the background, and they can also contain a dance.

The tag collects a single piece of content into one or more specific groups. The intended use of this tool can make what we post to reach more people.

Tips for hashtags:

-Use trending hashtags, but still in line with what you post (be careful not to use those that are too popular and now too familiar, e.g. #followme)

-Always use the same ones on every social media

-Check that it is consistent with what you want to publish

-Don’t use too many

-Choose the most suitable ones

-Don’t use hashtags when replying to someone

-Use them on public profiles

-Use them in the original language of the place the content is about
