Marketing is of great importance to any business.  It is the key process of researching, promoting and selling products or services to your target audience (people).  It is the strategy of assigning resources (time and money) to activities that inform and attract consumers to purchase a business’s products or services to achieve profitable sales.  Marketing is an important business process through which consumers are informed, can be attracted, and are convinced that the business offerings are of value to them.  Marketing is a vital means for any business to achieve sales and is the reason why marketing is important for a business.  It is important to use marketing to promote the business, brand, and products.  Marketing is essential in business because it informs advertising, promotions, and PR activities to better educate, motivate, attract, and engage the target audience.  If executed correctly, the marketing activities of a business will effectively convert the target audience into qualified sales.

The Marketing Manager

This person is a manager whose primary task is to manage the marketing resources of a product or business.  A marketing manager can be in charge of a single product or brand, or can be a general manager responsible for a broad range of products and services.  A business can employ multiple marketing managers, and they are responsible for achieving sales targets, attracting new customers, communicating with customers, promoting brand recognition, conducting market research and advertising.
